Casa delle Rondinelle Reviews Summer 2025

Oh gosh have totally relaxed now and don’t want to go home. We’ve had a lovely special time! Tonino who has been lovely is taxi-ing one of the girls tonight. Everything been brilliant. Thank you for giving us Rondinelle. xx

Another huge thank you to you for our stay at your wonderful house. 

We had the most wonderful stay at Case Rondinelle. The house is perfectly equipped for a big group, with a big spacious kitchen that has everything you could need. Along with a great set up outside – we enjoyed many a long lunch and dinner around the huge dining table, and our highlights of the week were sitting round the pool – playing chess, backgammon and table tennis – all which come with the house! And the photos don’t do the view from the pool justice!

Milly has been so great at keeping in contact in the run up to our stay, and checking in while we were there. As well as the kindest local Italian, Antonino who checked in everyday, and kept us supplied with local olive oil and wine. Milly booked us Sunday lunch at the Agriturismo, it was the far and away the most delicious traditional Italian food and wine we’re ever had. It was so good we went back for an evening meal later in the week too! The house book has so much information about the local area you will never be stuck for things to do.  We couldn’t recommend Casa Rondinelle enough for a relaxing week away with friends or family, and we really hope to be back one day.

Apologies if I haven’t already thanked you for a wonderful stay in Casa Rondinelle. Despite being a bit unlucky with the weather, we had the most lovely, relaxed time with masses of backgammon, cards and reading which was just what was needed especially as my husband hadn’t been well. The drive to Lake Como was very straightforward - we did a small detour via Ravenna for lunch and were in Como for supper.

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at your lovely house - I would recommend it to anyone for a family gathering - Tonino was great we had 3 Sunday lunches at his home - the butcher in Bisenti was outstanding as the travelling fish van - trips to the beach and surrounding villages - sadly the bike hire company no longer exists but that’s life !! 

One of my daughters partners wanted to stay on longer so let me know if you ever want to sell 😄😄

Our family of six adults stayed at Casa Rondinelle in early September and absolutely loved every minute. The house is beautifully authentic and in a breath-taking setting, surrounded by the unspoilt hills, meadows, vineyards and villages of Abruzzo where there are few tourists. The incredible food and wine was plentiful and not expensive. The villages and towns historic. Casa Rondinelle is really spacious for both living and sleeping with high ceilinged rooms, shuttered windows and terracotta floors. Great beds, great bathrooms and a giant family kitchen and dining room. We loved eating outside beneath the vine pergola or drinking cocktails beneath the olives while watching bee-eaters and swifts circle the awesome valley that the house perches on. The pool is pristine and long enough for lengths. It was looked after daily by Antonio from the Agritourismo farm next-door, where we ate incredible feasts. The owner, Milly, was so lovely to book with and made arriving for the first time very easy. It’s a tranquil, gem of a place and we can’t wait to get back there with the grandchildren soon.
